My property is being demolished, what do I need to do?
Health and safety is very important when demolishing a property. To close an electricity account where the property is going to be demolished please follow these steps:
- Ring our Customer Helpline on 03457 455 455 (Select Option 3). Phone lines open Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm. Calls are recorded for quality assurance purposes.
- Tell our advisor that you wish to close an account, take a final meter reading if it is safe to do so and please be sure to mention that the property is going to be demolished
- Contact NIE Networks on 03457 643 643 to arrange to have the service cables and metering removed
